BA JMC Full form - Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication program is a regular three-year undergraduate highly dynamic course for all who seek a career in the entertainment and television industry. The BAJMC scope is full of lucrative options with graduates who can work as a PR agent, a journalist, an advertiser, an editor, a filmmaker, a news writer, a photojournalist, etc. The average BAJMC salary can range from INR 40000 to 1.5 lakh per month.

GGSIPU BJMC Admission Eligibility Criteria

 
All applicants must have cleared 12th Class from CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to qualify as per BAJMC Admission Eligibility policy*
 
All applicants are required to have cleared English as a core/elective/functional subject in the final qualifying exam.
 
Minimum Percentage Required: General category candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate. As for the candidates belonging to ST/ SC/ Persons with Disability/ Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel category, there is a provision of 5% relaxation in the minimum percentage for BAJMC Admission eligibility
 

BAJMC Admissions through CUET

 
The BAJMC admission is done strictly on merit through a Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by The National Testing Agency (NTA).
 
Therefore, a student must attend the counselling rounds to proceed with the BAJMC admission process only when he/she satisfies the above-mentioned criteria and clears the CUET exam.
 
BA(JMC) Admissions through Management Quota
 
The Institute also conducts admission for 10% seats under management quota which is done on the basis of merit of qualifying examination and CUET-GGSIPU Rank.

The BJMC Syllabus is divided into six semesters. Each semester comprises of practical and theoretical subjects, so the student is familiar with both the aspect of the course.

Each academic session of the course is divided into two semesters (August-December & January-May). In each semester examination and evaluation is carried out according to the scheme laid down by the University. Every paper is of 100 marks.

Fee Structure

BJMC Course Fees: KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education

 
All candidates who want to enroll in the BJMC program at KCC ILHE must pay INR 85000 per year to get admitted. The total BJMC course fees is INR 2.55 lakhs which can be paid in 3 equal yearly instalments. Students must also pay an INR 800 application fee at the time of form submission to book a slot. 
 
The sum can be paid online, with a debit or credit card, or through internet banking for the chosen candidates. 
 
Before the commencement of the semester and within the allotted time, all students are required to pay the BJMC Course fees. Exam fees, registration fees, lodging fees, and other extra expenses are not included in the semester fees.
 
Please be advised that the cost of tuition may change in the future. 
 
We work hard to provide the best options for families that require loans to pay for the BJMC college fees. After the program is over, the education loan will start to be repaid.     
 
Since most nationalized banks have close relations to KCC ILHE, candidates who are selected for the BJMC course may apply for low-interest education loans from any bank to cover the BJMC Course fees.

Scholarships and Fee Structure (By Centre & State Government)

Scholarships based on class 12th score
  • 90% and above in eligibility subjects - 50% of the first year course fee
  • 85%-89% in eligibility subjects - 25% of the first year course fee.
  • 80%-84% in eligibility subjects - 15% of the first year course fee

* This scholastic scholarship is granted only inthe first year

NOTE- Relaxation of 5% to girl students on the above mentioned percentage.

Sports Scholarship
  • Zonal Zonal Level Player : 5% of fee each year
  • State State Level Player : 10% of fee each year
  • National National Level Player : 15% of fee each year
Defence Scholarship

Children of defence personnel's are ofered scholarship to the extent of 10% of fee each semester. The student has to produce card of his parent at the time of admission as a proof of service. The scholarship is also offered to wards of Ex-servicemen.
